Lovely little place with gorgeous surroundings and a short walk from the Main Street. Lots of little added extras from the hosts which made our stay extra special. Would definitely return.

Beautiful flat in a great location.

The flat is beautifully presented, very comfortable and located within 5 mins walk to the main street in Kirby Stephen which has some great shops, pubs and eateries. There are loads of leaflets with information about the surrounding area and the flat info is very comprehensive.

The best stay we’ve had in airbnb family travels! We stayed at Middy Boots for 2 nights during our 14day Coast to Coast walk, and it was exactly the kind of place we needed after long days on the trail. Everything was incredibly well thought out. The parking area is spacious and convenient, and moving our luggage in and out was effortless. Check in was completely smooth. And Kirkby Stephen itself is such a lovely little town, with charming streets, independent shops and a beautiful historic church, making it a wonderful base for the Coast to Coast. But what really made our stay special were the hosts, Fei and Chris. They had already provided so much useful information through their blog and Airbnb, and whenever I had questions about the area, they took the time to write us detailed and thoughtful replies. And house itself, i had no question at all as the moment we walked through the door, it felt like coming home. The house was spotlessly clean. you can immediately tell how much care they put into maintaining it, even from the impressive collection of cleaning supplies available. The shower had hot water instantly, the toiletries smelled wonderful, and the house could be warmed up to exactly the temperature we wanted. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, and the fruit, breakfast items and snacks were such a lovely touch. These little details made us genuinely feel the warmth and generosity of the hosts. And after walking for hours each day, having a really comfortable bed where we could sleep for as long as we needed was absolutely priceless. Muddy Boots-Scarpa wasn’t simply a place to stay for us. It was a place where we could truly rest, recharge and feel looked after during a demanding walking journey. Fei and Chris have clearly put so much thought, care and love into creating this home, and it shows in every detail. If you’re walking the Coast to Coast, I honestly cannot recommend this place highly enough. We would happily stay here again even if we weren’t walking the route. This is a lovely place to stay, the accommodation is exactly as described and in the photos. Spotlessly clean and nice decor throughout with lots of nice, thoughtful touches.
It’s a really quiet spot and you can park right outside the building.
There was lots of info provided by the hosts prior to our stay regarding the local area, how to find the place etc.
Our stay had everything we were looking for: parking, quiet location, a nice living room to relax, comfy beds, good shower and a well-appointed kitchen. Perfect, would happily stay again.
