We enjoyed this spacious and quiet home. Comfortable beds, a large functional kitchen, and a responsive heating system were a few highlights.
The bright walls and clean surfaces help offset the minimal windows and natural light.

We stayed at Melanie’s place for 3 nights to attend a local swim meet. Here are some pros and cons:
Pros: the location is perfect and is only 7 min away from the pool. The neighborhood is also decent and quiet. The house is very clean. It feels spacious for its size. Communication with Melanie is also very effiicent. She responds to messages instantly and supplied our needs at the earliest convenience.
Cons: the house is very cold upon entering. There is no central HVAC so heating is dependent on the minisplits in each room. And because all heat sources have been kept off that day, it took the heaters a long time to heat up the room. By the time to sleep, the bedding/beds are still cold. The twin beds have very thin covers and there were no additonal blankets. The mini splits are not very powerful and the one in the living room is not enough for the space. It would be better if the hosue can be heated prior to guest arrival and equiped the twin beds with some warmer comforters.

We responded promptly to multiple late-night messages upon arrival. Additional blankets were delivered, and you confirmed the temperature and bedding were satisfactory. Our housekeeper noted the heat in the twin bedroom was turned off and the home remained warm when they dropped off the blanket. The home uses mini-split systems for environmentally friendly, room-by-room temperature control. We encourage guests to communicate concerns during their stay so they can be addressed in real time.
