It is obvious that Kent and Heather love what they are doing. Where else can you vacation with three dogs and your family. Sweet private sights where you can get unplugged from your weekly grind. I would love to bring my family, human and K9, back again!

I was planning to stay here for 5 days. However, I had to cut my stay short and leave after 1 day due to an emergency. Throughout this experience, Kent was extremely helpful and kind. He was quick to respond and arranged a ferry ride for me to leave the island immediately. The hospitality from Kent and his entire team is truly unmatched!
As far as the place itself is concerned, while I didn’t stay very long, I was definitely mesmerised by its beauty. It was calm, peaceful, private. Just perfect for unplugging and getting away. I’ve already planned to come back to the island in a couple of months so I can make up for my previous experience.

1 Big Sustainable Island was amazing! Kent and the rest of the staff were so responsive and accommodating. Everything went very smoothly. It was amazing that every group had a private dock—it never felt too crowded on the island! Our group is excited to return next summer.

Having a private dock at the Aframe gives you a front-row seat to Annabessacook Lake and a place that feels distinctly yours, even though the trails, swimming spots, and rest of the island are waiting to be explored. We’re also delighted our Reset Crew made everything feel easy and welcoming. That’s exactly what we want from a Maine island retreat: enough adventure to know you’ve gone somewhere unusual, without needing a logistics degree to enjoy it. We’ll look forward to seeing your crew back on the island next summer. We’ll save you some lake.
