Property managed by One Big Sustainable IslandA beautiful unique quiet place. Everything was just as expected. The system for getting to the island was clearly very thought out and tested. Everything was perfect. My only suggestion would be to have just a few more cups, maybe some big mugs. It’s a cabin on an island. Beyond beautiful and perfectly serene. Thank you Kent for sharing it with the world.

Moving people and their gear across a Maine lake takes a bit of trial and error, so it's nice when the thought behind it shows. And we appreciate the note about cups. A few more of them, big mugs included, is exactly the kind of practical suggestion we like to hear from someone who has actually lived in the cabin for a few days. Winston, our 9 month old lab was in heaven exploring the island off leash and swimming all day. The short canoe ride to 1 sustainable island was a lot of fun. We’ll be back next year for sure and years to come!

Shawn, thank you! "Relaxing and magical" is exactly the sort of island escape we hope Naughty Dog Island delivers. It sounds like Winston made excellent use of his nine months of life experience: an entire island to explore off leash and a whole Maine lake to swim in is a pretty strong day for a lab. We're glad he found his heaven. And we love that the canoe ride over was part of the fun rather than just the commute. Paddling yourself to your own island tends to make the arrival feel earned. Unwinding in nature is really the whole idea here, and we're glad the island delivered. A private island on a quiet Maine lake has a way of slowing everything down within about an hour of arrival.
