Property managed by One Big Sustainable IslandArrived with my girlfriend and departed with my now fiancé! It was a perfect weekend. The floating cabin has windows all around, which give wonderful views of the lake and sunrise. The cabin size was great for the 2 of us plus our dog. The various cabins are spaced well around the island to make it feel like you have it all to yourself. So much we wanted to do, but didn’t have the time (kayaks, hammocks, sauna). This will forever be a special place for us- we’ll definitely be back!

We're so glad the windows did their job. Waking up to a sunrise over Annabessacook Lake from a floating cabin is a hard thing to improve upon, and it sounds like the little cabin was just the right size for two people and one dog. Spacing the stays around the island is very much on purpose. We'd rather each group feel like they've got the whole place to themselves, even when they don't. As for the kayaks, hammocks, and sauna still on your list, we consider that excellent news. It means there's plenty waiting for you next time. Thank you for letting us be part of such a big moment. We'd be honored to welcome the newly engaged pair, plus the dog, back to the island whenever you're ready!

Property managed by One Big Sustainable IslandSuch a cool experience! It felt like camping, but all essentials were provided and the cabin was cozy. The island is well equipped with firewood, drinking water, boating activities, great views, and great vibes. Kent and the staff were all friendly, helpful, and knew the area really well. It’s clear they care about their visitors having a good time. We received lots of communication about the area ahead of time so we knew what to expect. Pulling up to our own private dock by boat was really unique and exciting. Hope to visit again some day!

That's the balance we're always aiming for at the Nautilus Waterhouse: the adventure of a night on the water, minus the part where you realize you forgot the firewood. We're glad the island had what you needed, from drinking water to boats to the views that come standard with Annabessacook Lake. Thank you as well for the kind words about Kent and the Reset Crew. They do know this lake extremely well, and they genuinely care that guests have a good time, so we'll happily pass that along. We also like hearing that the information ahead of time made arriving feel easy. And pulling up to your very own private dock by boat really is one of the better ways to check in anywhere in Maine.
